How to: View swap file (virtual memory) details.
Solution:
Double-click 'System' in 'Control Panel', click the 'Performance' tab, and click 'Virtual Memory...'.
CAUTION: It is advisable to let Windows adjust the virtual memory settings automatically. Manually adjusting settings should be performed by a qualified computer technician.

1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select the 'Settings' menu and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)

3) Double-click the 'System' icon. (The 'System Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Performance' tab.
5) Click 'Virtual Memory...'. (The 'Virtual Memory' dialog box appears, with the swap file details.)
6) When finished looking at details, click 'Cancel'. (The 'System Properties' dialog box reappears.)
7) Click 'Cancel'. (The 'Control Panel' window reappears.)
8) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the Control Panel window.
